My thoughts on the President-Elect

Number 1: God is in control. God is still God, no matter what. He knew that Mr. Obama would become President, and although we may not see the big picture, God does see it.
2: I will continually and daily pray for the president-elect and this country. Our country needs prayer and salvation. Just because the person most christians wanted for President didn't get elected doesn't mean that we've lost - not by a long shot. Nothing's been "lost" there is still hope for our country. I will not mourn the decision of my neighbors and others I know. God is in control.
3: The time is now, people!! These are end times we are living in. I am feeling convicted even as I type this to get this out. This is not my normal personality. But I cannot keep quiet. If you don't know Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior and have a relationship with Him, if you haven't asked Christ to forgive you of your sins and be Lord of your life, you need to do this NOW. More so now than ever. I implore you, dear family and friends of mine who have not yet made that decision to seek God and what His plans are for your life. Simply going to church on Christmas and Easter is not enough. Church attendance is not enough. That's not what this is about. Its not even about one party winning and the other losing. Its about winning souls for Christ! The song "I Will Not Be Moved" by Natalie Grant sums up my current feelings:

I have been the wayward child
I have acted out
I have questioned Sovereignty
And had my share of doubt
And though sometimes my prayers feel like
They're bouncing off the sky
The hand I hold won't let me go
And is the reason why...

[Chorus:]I will stumble
I will fall down
But I will not be moved
I will make mistakes
I will face heartache
But I will not be moved
On Christ the Solid Rock I stand
All other ground is sinking sand
I will not be moved

Bitterness has plagued my heart
Many times before
My life has been like broken glass
And I have kept the score
Of all my shattered dreams and though it seemed
That I was far too gone
My brokenness helped me to see
It's grace I'm standing on

[Chorus]

And the chaos in my life
Has been a badge I've worn
Though I have been torn
I will not be moved

[Chorus]

I welcome your thoughts and comments on this matter. This is something I have wanted to share for a long time, but have always been afraid to. Not any more.

Though B. O. is not the one I voted for, I would fight for the right of those who did. Everyone has the right to choose. Hopefully they vote their convictions on issues and don't get swept away by all they hear.
I mainly go by the canidates proclaimed faith in Jesus,if they are a Pro Life supporter, and by whom this politician goes to for advice. ie. bible, evangelists like billy graham, their pastor etc.
I am praying for the believers of Christ to realize that God is the one who allows rulers and kings to have their posisitions, and if necessary He can take them out. Just read about Pharaoh in Exodus In the end he was asking Moses to pray for him! Our God Reigns!
Add to this, trust Jesus, He is the same today as He was in the bible times! Look at what all the believers have gone through since then. Put your trust in the sovereignty of God and watch as He provides for, protects and performs miracles for us His people.
